About Craig Fellin Outfitters & Big Hole Lodge

  |  Wise River, MT, US | Views (16067)

A legendary experience, your next fly fishing vacation is 30 years in the making.

Big Hole Lodge offers a distinctive dining, lodging and western experience. We specialize in a unique brand of Montana hospitality for your relaxation, reflection and rejuvenation. Each meal is a gourmet adventure, every night's sleep is a dream come true. And don't be surprised if you take home with you some lasting friendships, not to mention memories.

The lodge is nestled in a magnificent wilderness setting with a beautiful trout stream at your doorstep. With a maximum capacity of 12 guests, emphasis is on personalized service and warm hospitality, which the lodge has become renowned for. The main lodge itself, built of local river rock and lodgepole pine, is the perfect place to relax over a cocktail and enjoy a spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains. Craig's talented chef will prepare you meals that are unforgettable and served by a courteous and gracious staff.

Guests stay in rustic and spacious cabins with modern conveniences, all opening to a panoramic view of the scenic Wise River Valley and Pioneer Mountains. The "home pool" on the Wise is only a few steps away. Discriminating anglers will find the well-appointed accommodations clean and comfortable. Moose, elk, deer and mountain goats abound in the immediate area and it's not uncommon to see one during the week.

Chef Lanette Evener will be back for her fourteenth season and clients have raved about her cooking. Gwen Walters features Lanette's recipes in "The Great Ranch Cookbook" and you won't be disappointed. During the week you might have grilled salmon for dinner, with a mustard dill sauce, paired with a colorful and tasty rice pilaf and finish with a fresh baked almond cake and homemade ice cream. Lunch could be marinated tri-tip roast on a fresh baked roll and Mexican corn salad with a sweet and tart lemon bar to tide you over until dinner.
