Although we had slow tuna fishing on our second night of the Hi’s tackle three day we ended it off strong with a more Yellowtail action and some quality Bluefin. The tuna bit our last night before heading in. All in all it has been another great HI’s Tackle 3 -Day. Huge thanks to charter…

Today we celebrated the 4th of July with some decent Yellowtail action! We caught a couple of Bluefin Tuna as well. The Yellowtail definitely made for some good variety. We are now getting set up for Bluefin fishing again tonight. TEAM RP

Yesterday we departed on the Hi’s Tackle 3-Day Trip! Once we got to an area with good sign we were able to get on a decent plunker bite. Once the sun went down the fish kept biting making a great start to this trip!

High tides in the evening bring stripers out to feed. This is surface action on poppers. Light tackle is the name of the game here! These fish also chew on the flyrod. This is an amazing way to enjoy the marsh!

Inshore shark fishing is in full swing! We are catching a variety of inshore sharks including sandbar spinner dusky brown and hammerhead sharks from 20-200 pounds. We are catching these fish on light tackle. This fishing is a blast with several fish or more per trip. Great for beginners and advanced anglers. It is not a far run and you will catch...

I knew this might happen at some point actually it even seemed likely a couple of times but it was the first for me yesterday. Fishing with clients for stripers in shallow water with big poppers wind was blowing but it was not especially rough just enough of a chop to limit how well the poppers showed up.

The release from Cannonsville has been cut back a bit to 549 cfs. We lost power in Thursday’s storms. It’s estimated to come back on Sunday at 11 pm. Hopefully. Today looks like another sunny hot day so look for the coldest water for the best hatches. Sulphurs some Cahills tiny olives and Isonychias should …

This week I did 4 guide trips and the fishing is unusually good for July. We averaged 30 bass landed per day with excellent size. What I noticed is when the sun comes up and the bass can get a good look at the shad they are starting to school. This is by far the most fun fishing of the year. When 100 bass come up near the boat feeding aggressivel...

Body:  Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! The tuna bite has been on fire for the offshore fleet! Inshore boats have had good bites of bluefish and speckled trout and even snuck a nice cobia! Beaches have been packed but if you squeeze in a spot still getting reports of big pompano being caught from ramp 38 to ramp 55 with some sea mullet croak...

Wow what a week at guntersville. I have done 5 guide trips this week and the conditions have set up perfect for us. The water level is high and the current is flowing. The water temp is 89 degrees but that full moon has a big population of fish up shallow. Yes, there are giant schools out deep uneffected by the moon but when there are fish in mul...

The water temp is 90 and the moon is waning. I have had a decent shallow bite all year but now the ledges have taken over. This week I did 3 trips and we averaged 30 bass per day landed with a best 5 over 20lbs each day. Our best baits are a big crankbait and a spoon out on the river ledges. The thermocline is about 14 feet in the mornings and th...
