Had a decent morning but then couldn’t put any kind of afternoon together. Hooked a nicer fish and had a few kite attempts but couldn’t get anything to the boat late. Tomorrow will be our last morning then we need to start headed up. TEAM RP

Yesterday the bite during the day was steady with small perch and walleye for most of the time. Some fishermen worked in some of the basins in the mud for perch but not many found the “Jumbos.” There were a couple here and there but no real numbers. Overnight the Walleye action was best in […] The post February 1st 2025 first appeared on Lyback's...

My oh my this January has been a cold one but we've been able to get on the water almost every day and get some fish to the boat. Sure it took five layers for me to stay warm but the fish didn't care my clients were tough and we had a blast in the process.  This cold weather has caused the fish to become a bit lethargic but fishing a little deeper...

What a crazy winter it has been for everyone. January saw some things I’ve never seen before like 8” of snow on the boat at Orange Beach Marina! Yes you read that right! Speaking of the climate the change in the presidents will certainly bring some welcome changes in policy that we hope are favorable […]

January’s weather held brisk and frigid temperatures for most parts of the month here in the Ozarks. These cold temperatures didn’t stop a hot trout bite here many days on Lake Taneycomo. Since the beginning of December when Table Rock flipped over our dissolved oxygen levels have been in the 10 parts per million range. […] The post February 2025...

Extreme cold followed by above average temperatures then heavy rain has the bass on the move. This last week I did 5 guide trips and we landed 122 bass. It's NOT easy. Each day we had to move and adjust and switch baits to get dialed in. Now the rains are here. Guntersville unlike most lakes can withstand heavy rain and keep fishable clarity....

Guntersville is healthy and the big ones are biting. Saturday's BFL produced 31 limits of 5 bass over 20lbs. The grass is getting green, days longer and the bass at guntersville are feeding up for the spawn. As the weather stabilizes next week with consistent warm temperatures this lake is going to be unreal. Each group of fish has positioned...

The Caribbean sun was barely peeking over the horizon when we set out from San Pedro, our boat gliding through the calm, glassy waters. The early morning air was crisp, carrying the faint scent of salt and adventure.  Our fishing charter Belize was booked with Bent Hook Adventures, a local operator that knew these waters well. The captain...

We had dark and gloomy skies with the clouds blowing north over the ocean. But the temperature was almost shirtsleeves weather with a promise from the forecasters of it...
