Montana stayed true to her wild nature this month and has kept us on our toes with changing water and weather conditions.  A late season snowpack combined with heavy rains caused rivers around the state to rise.  Here in Missoula we were fortunate to not have any significant flooding issues and were able to adjust [...] The post The Western River...

Congrats to Jason Brennell for his first ever fly caught king!  This has to be hands down one of the better king salmon returns we have seen in recent years.  Not only are there good numbers of fish around but they are big!  Now just because there are lots of fish around [...] The post Juneau Fly Fishing Report- 6/23/2022 appeared first on Alask...

Another quality morning on the water. The Teamsters from Local 177 put the work in at the rail and landed a nice pull of Fluke. Bill Cortese and Fred Dubrow had their limits with a bunch of other patrons seeing 2 and 1 keeps. Overall it was a very good day. Fred had the pool 4lbs. It’s the middle of June. 9/10 Summers we would be already be fishing all local rivers. Not this one but things are changing quickly as rivers continue to drop. This is a good problem unless your trying to find water right now. We “should” be in a position to have awesome water levels fo the […] The post SHAPING UP appeared first on Clear Creek Out...

The rivers are all on the drop. Looking at the NOAA forecast suggests we'll have some river options very soon maybe in the next few days... It's not usually accurate but a decent guess. For now we are still fishing the stillwater and having good success. All this water is going to make for [...] The post Dropping Flows appeared first on Bigfork An...

Capt Dave reports a slower trip on the Viking Star. Fishing in general was a bit off the bite with the east wind today. Porgy fishing was a slow pick with little fish in the mix. SeaBass was tough on the first day. We threw back a lot to keep a few but there were […]

There’s nothing easy in 2022 but Last Hurrah Charter Fishing is still fishing.  On-water diesel is pushing $7/gallon and somehow there are still crowds of clueless boat operators on the water adding to the challenges.   Monday through Thursday is best. LHCF is currently docked at Atlantic Marina on the Magothy—487 New York Avenue Pasadena MD […] T...

OFFSHORE- Another good week of fishing offshore this week. Dolphin fishing remains good; with the best dolphin reports coming out deeper. A handful of fish in 400-600'; but the best reports continue to come outside of 1000' of water. Trolling bonita strips squid and small ballyhoo remains a good way to go for the dolphin. Still a really good number...

The fish are getting acclimated to the warmer water temperatures and they seem to be getting more active. The best pattern continues to be river channel ledges with big crankbaits and...
