7 inches of rain. A major cold front and the lingering effects of redcrest. This week was all about adjustments. 80% of the lake got dirty and the water levels fluctuated daily. Monday we landed 37 but the effects of the rain were not in full force yet. Tuesday and Wednesday we landed 14 each day and couldn't get a bite until we found clear water. Thursday the conditions improved and we caught 50 with a best 5 of 21lbs. The key to getting bit was finding clear water and adjusting to the changes of the spawning phases. We caught fish deep and shallow. Our best baits were a jig and a spinnerbait. If you want to fish with a USCG licensed captain call 256-744-5185.
