About Fin Freak Sport Fishing Charters

  |  Port Canaveral, FL, US | Views (7704)

Come join us for a true Florida Sport fishing charter of a lifetime. We welcome seasoned fishermen, as well as beginners – we love to share our knowledge! It will be smooth cruising out of Port Canaveral with our U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captains, Tim Altman and Charles Smith.

Our boat “The Fin freak”, is a custom built, 2007 27ft, Blackfin with twin Evinrude E-tecs 200HO. This vessel is designed for a fast, dry and comfortable ride to the deep blue. The Fin freak boasts Lowrance electronics, Taco Outriggers, Cannon Downrigger, Icom vhf, Kenwood and Alpine sound systems, a 7ft fish coffin{for the Big One}and much more. U.S.Coast Guard safety approved – safety is our #1 concern on the water, followed by filling the fish box.

We employ many different fishing techniques on the East coast of Florida. Live bait fishing on wrecks and reefs off of Port Canaveral produces our most exciting days. We always try to have bait on the boat before we arrange for your pickup. When that’s not possible, the first part of the fishing charter will be looking for bait, which can take anywhere from 5 minutes to up to an hour.

We base our Cape Canaveral sport fishing charter trip on what is biting at the time. On the East coast of Florida off of Cocoa beach we have a number a species to fish for. Our favorite species include Mahi Mahi, Wahoooooooo!, King Mack. Grouper, Snapper, Amberjacks, Cobia, and always welcome Sailfish. If you are just in the mood to have a fish pull on your line or to get the grub for a fish fry, we guarantee no matter what time of year, we will bring the action to you.
