Snake River A lot of back and forth with weather – some days are cool with rain (and sometimes snow) and other days being pleasant and sunny.  Midges are popping most days as are BWOs and some leftover October caddis.  Much of the surface action is occurring from around noon until 4:30 pm although some days it doesn’t start until 1pm.  The best pr...

Day 2 in Paradise. Started off with a bang getting 2 nice wahoo. Got on the reef for a drift and got muttons strawberry groupers cudas until the sharks showed up and they were hungry. In the afternoon we put away the fishing gear and got out the snorkel gear and look for lobster and that worked out well and we had ourselves set up for a great dinn...

We kicked off the week (and month) with a trip out of Goffinsville Park this morning when I met brothers Gordon and George Piasecki early. Gordon had brought along a couple of crab traps to try out at each spot we fished and it worked out pretty good. We made a quick run over to Pumkin Hill on a high tide that still had about 30 minutes of comin...

Hey guys per usual it’s been a minute and I don’t have much of an excuse other than I’ve simply been trying to hold out for a few more Steelhead photos… (Fact is most people don’t actually read these reports they just look for recent photos. 🙄🤣) Problem is while there are a good number […] The post November 3 2025 appeared first on Baldwin Bait...

This time of year we’re sailing daily exclusively for blackfish so of course when we’re out on the water that’s what we’re trying to find for our guests. The day started out very strong. There was *a lot* of action. Most of them were shorts but there were enough keepers mixed in that a lot […] The post Fishing Report 11-3-25 – Ups Downs and Ups fo...

In the afternoon Capt Greg had first timer Ed Beers and friends out. Went back to our morning area and caught some large overs and came back closer to home boxing four keepers. Carmine Jr. was high hook with six dropping a few others.  -- Greg DeMello 201-421-8653

Capt Greg and Shane had a double today. Left in the dark this morning and were first on the fish breaking under birds with 3-4 on right off the bat. Fish were under the birds swirling for miles. Action slowed once every boat in NJ showed up but still picked away. Biggest fish went approx 40   -- Greg DeMello 201-421-8653

It's no secret what the fish are doing at Guntersville. They are not on any structure at all. They are floating around out in the abyss. Yes they are usually within relative proximity of bait. Love it or hate it forward facing sonar helps track them down when they are floating around nomadically. Ok well how can you catch them? To be hon...

The beautiful days just keep coming! And good fishing too!  Today I ran over to Oyster Bay to pick up David Vice and his neighbor and friend David Williamson as the sun was coming up. The tide was high and coming in - we eased out of their marina and ran back down Lanceford and up the Bell to set up on a point of grass with plans to toss float ri...

I felt pretty confident this morning that we'd catch fish today but I was thinking maybe a nice Redfish and surely a good handful of small Seatrout. As it's been all week it was a beautiful day - sunny no wind and just a cool nip in the morning that warmed to shirtsleeves temperature as the day went along. I met Henry Ross Dick Conley and David...
