Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
Charleston may be known as the Holy City, but it is also known for its excellent fishing. With legendary low country inshore fishing, plentiful nearshore reefs, and access to the Gulf Stream, Charleston makes a top destination for many anglers.
Inshore fishing around Charleston provides excellent Red Drum fishing year round. The Speckled Trout fishing is also great a good portion of the year, as well as Flounder fishing. With the exception of the coldest months, Cobia can be found inshore and nearshore most of the year.
Perhaps the best fishing can be found on the numerous artificial and natural reefs nearshore of Charleston. Bottom fishing and trolling around these reefs will produce good catches of a variety of reef fish, including Grouper, Snapper, King Mackerel, Black Sea Bass, Barracuda, and Sharks.
Offshore fishing Charleston can produce a variety of different tuna, including Blackfin, Skipjack, and Yellowfin. There are also many Blue Marlin, White Marlin, and Sailfish that move through during the summer months, along with the Mahi-mahi (Dolphinfish). While Wahoo can be found year round, most are caught in the Spring or during the Fall.
