On the many reefs and wrecks nearshore you can catch many different species of reef fish, including Grouper, Jacks, Snapper, and Trevally.
Offshore fishing out of Sydney provides anglers with many different species of billfish, including Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, and Sailfish lurking just offshore. There is also excellent Tuna fishing, with lots of Yellowfin, Dog Tooth, and Pacific Bluefin Tuna. Mahi-mahi and Wahoo fishing is good much of the year as well.
