The picturesque Taymount or Stobhall beat on the Tay, Perthshire in high summer which can be the scene for some memorable salmon fishing stories. That was the case on Saturday for some of the Taymount rods fishing on the bottom half of the top beat.
Lady angler Frankie Mitchell caught her first ever salmon from the Stank End pool at the tail of the Upper Taymount beat spinning a Toby salmo witnessed by her boyfriend George Squibb. The event was quickly photoed prior to the release of the magnificent 15 pounds salmon. Well done all.
