The Galveston Fishing Report can not get much better for Fall Fishing in Galveston. We have the best days ahead of us for hooking into monster Redfish, mass numbers of Speckled Trout, and Giant Flounder! If you want to fish the shallow back lakes and bayous for flounder, red fish and speckled trout or battle Giant Bull Reds at the Jetties or even go hunt Monster Flounder at night - this is the time to get on Galveston Bay and have some fun!
October Fall Fishing in Galveston, Texas can mean many things.... the temps may be in the 60's and need a lite jacket or they could be in the 80's and bikini weather - either way the fishing is great! We are catching good numbers of redfish, sheepshead, speckled trout, flounder, spanish mackerel, and even some sharks along the passes, beachfront and jetties. Live shrimp, live piggies, mullet, and fresh shad are the baits of choice lately.
This is an exciting time of year for our Galveston Flounder Gigging Charters as well. Cooler water temperatures are the key ingredient for then annual Galveston Flounder Migration and spawn. We began seeing the males start their move two weeks ago, and the Giant Female flounder will be right behind them. Fishing for flounder during the day time or hunting them at night on one of our Custom Flounder Gigging Boats - this is the time of year for Galveston Flounder!
This is also a great time of year for a Fish-Gig Combo. Experience an afternoon of fishing the shallow back lakes and flat for redfish, speckled trout and flounder until dark - then put away the fishing poles, get out the gigs - turn on the lights and start hunting the bay floor for flounder! This is always a great adventure to experience how absolutely awesome Fall Fishing in Galveston is!
