Richard with Cheva on the Dos Hermanos II
Blue water: (Chlorophyll amounts and surface temps from Terrafin SST) The blue water is about the 10 mile mark. The sailfish action starts between 8 and 12 miles.
Harley Harom with Jesus
Offshore: We had hurricane Bud form directly off our coast, but many miles out, as it headed up to Cabo San Lucas. The tail did swing around on us, bringing winds on Sunday. For several hours we had 20 knot winds, with gusts to about 35 knots. Only a few trees were blown down, with no other damage.

But, it did close the port for three days. We ended up with about 5 inches of much needed rain, and the port opened again for Wednesday morning.

The surf was high, with several anglers hoping to get in on the June roosterfish action, but the high surf prevented it. The five boats all went for sailfish and offshore. The waves were still very high.

Ken Kundargi of Sacramento, fished with Jaime on the 38 foot cruiser Orion. They caught a sailfish, lost another, and 5 yellowfin tuna from 12 to 25 pounds.
John Torres of Arizona, fishing with Adolfo on the panga Dos Hermanos, got 6 dorado from 5 to about 12 pounds at the White Rocks.

Richard Creach of Missouri, fished with Cheva on the panga Dos Hermanos II, raising 6 sailfish to the spread, hooking and releasing 3.

Harley Harmon and Jim Tapley fished with Jesus today on the panga Dos Hermanos III. They caught 2 sail fish.

Inshore: On Thursday (today), Ken Kundargi fished with Cheva for three roosterfish.

Richard, and his wife fished with Adolfo for a couple of roosters.

The word is the inshore fishing is still tough, and needs another week to peak. The captains are all going for sailfish tomorrow, and the yellowfin tuna.
