Z Fish Report (12/6/18)

 | By Seamus on 12/6/2018 4:52:46 PM | Views (423)

With Adolfo, on the panga Dos Hermanos
Offshore (average) surface water temperature - Includes from the 5 - 6 mile mark at the 100 fathom line, then to the 1,000 fathom line being about 32 miles: 85°

Inshore (average) surface temperature. From the beach to about 5 miles: 85°
Blue water: (Chlorophyll amounts and surface temps from Terrafin SST) There is a strong blue water current. Clean water starts at the 100 fathom line, and on out.
Offshore: Talking with Cheva, on the panga Dos Hermanos II, he told me the action is in the clean water from 12 to 13 miles out. The boats are averaging 2 to 3 sailfish a day, with 1 dorado. This will improve, as the new moon is this Saturday, the 8th. The next two weeks will have the best offshore for this month.
Adolfo Jr. on the panga Dos Hermanos with 3
large and very tasty sierras
Inshore: The inshore action is fantastic, for a few boats who travel the distance to find fish. This is where Adolfo, on the panga Dos Hermanos excels. There are lots of roosters, but not close to Zihuatanejo. Most of the action this last few weeks has been south.
A large jack crevalle, on the panga Dos Hermanos II
with Cheva. The school of large jacks were down at
the river mouth of Valentine. (Balenteen)
As a repeat from a couple of weeks ago, if you want to be serious about your fishing, and really want a rooster, please remember our fuel costs here are the same as in Canada, and at almost $4.00 a gallon, is more than the States. The advertised rates are for local fishing only.
With Adolfo, on the panga Dos Hrermanos
Mark Denison, down at La Barrita, reports excellent shore fishing for 3 to 5 pound jack crevalle.
