Z Fish Report (2/21/19)

Above and below. Bian Hetland, of North  Dakota, took the gamble with Tyson on the panga La  llamada.
They went 40 miles and found the yellowfin tuna. using his spin rods, and  trolling flies tied by me and Kyler Reis, which we gave him last week, he got a  nice mess of yellowfin.

Offshore (average) surface water temperature - Includes from the 5 - 6 mile mark at the 100 fathom line, then to the 1,000 fathom line being about 32 miles: 81° There is a definite cooling trend in the making.~

Inshore (average) surface temperature. From the beach to about 5 miles: 80° And only about 77° south of Puerto Vicente Guerrero. Again, the cooling trend is evident.
Blue water: (Chlorophyll amounts and surface temps from Terrafin SST) Very similar to last week, with
almost blue water from the 100 fathom line, to way out. From the beach to out about 5 miles is showing discolored water. But, not discolored enough to shut off the inshore action. It will actually help, compared to pure clear water.
Offshore: Still slower than should be expected. One or two sailfish a day is considered lucky.
Above and below. On the panga Dos Hermanos with Adolfo.

Inshore: The inshore is still holding up very well. A lot of action this week, for jack crevalle, took place up at the south end of Troncones, and off the rock points there  There are roosters, and they still remain down south at Vicente Guerrero.
Mark and Loraine, with a nice sierra from
the beach at La Barrita.
Mark Denison, with his campground and fishing lodgings down at La Barrita, is doing well shore fishing for sierras and a lot of 4-5 pound jack crevalle. He complained to me he missed a couple of large roosters, while casting from the beach.
