Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
We have had a pretty good run here off the surf as of late. There has been bluefish, kingfish, spot, sharks, and some red drum caught. We have in fresh bait and the largest selection of tackle. Mullet rigs have been working well on the bigger bluefish. We have seen some of the biggest kingfish we have had for a while. In the back bay croakers have been pretty consistent from Memorial Park to Queen Sound. The flounder have picked up a little bit are still spotty. Another good sign has been some grey trout showing up in the back bay. That is the report for now. Feel free to send pictures and reports to info@stevesbaitandtackle.com Tight Lines.
Doug Morris of Seaford, Delaware caught this 47 inch red drum tonight off the beach using a 5/0 modified fish finder and cut spot. It was measured photographed and quickly released.
Tom Davis from Trails End, VA w/ a 2lb 10oz croaker caught in the bay.
Gene Brite with a double header bluefish and kingfish. We had a great day off the surf catching a variety of fish we had bluefish up to 20'' some nice kingfish up to a pound, a bunch of spot, one puppy drum, 2 sharks, and a big ray. The action has been good out there.
Here is a smaller puppy drum, we have seen more puppys around here than we have for a while, the bigger ones have showed up too the season looks to be a good one.
Ed Dyson with one of his many bluefish, he also has been catching a mix bag of fish in some consistent action off the surf.
