Guntersville FIshing Charter February 14th fishing report for Guntersville
The lake is absolutely on fire right now. Warm weather and current have the big  fish feeding early and often. The Bill Lewis Ratltrap tournament results are incredible. 11 five fish limits over 20lbs and 74th place had 14lbs. I guided almost everyday this last week and we caught a lot of big fish on multiple techniques and varied depth zones. This flurry of prespawn activity will continue into March and then we will see fish in all 3 phases. I have fished Guntersville for over 40 years and I don't think I have ever seen the lake this healthy. Every fish is beautiful and their girth is exceptional. Guntersville FIshing Charter February 7th Guntersville fishing report
The big ones are starting to bite at guntersville. The Bfl Saturday had 6 stringers over 20lbs and it took 26lbs to win. Those big stringers came off prespawn staging areas but with the warming weather this week large groups of fish will move up shallow and the fishing should be phenomenal for the rest of the year. I did 3 guide trips last week and each day was different but we managed to catch 15-20 fish per day and had 5 fish close to 20lbs each day. The recent rains have put some much needed color in the water and the current has the fish feeding aggressively. Guntersville FIshing Charter Lake Guntersville fishing report for the week of February 2nd
Wow what a week. I guided everyday this last week and it is one of the best weeks I have ever had for catching fish over 4lbs. We landed around 40 fish over 4lbs in 7 days on lake Guntersville. Our primary pattern was targeting staging areas between the river channel and the spawning bays. It wasn't necccesarily easy but when you got in the right area at the right time it was unbelievable fishing for a short period of time. With the rain and cold weather these big fish will continue to stack up and the possibility for exceptional catches will continue. I have experienced these cooler rainy summers a couple of times before and it makes for great fishing at Guntersville. The winning stringers are absolutely out deep on the river ledges. To attack them 3 baits will work; a big crankbait, a football...
