Buggs Island Guide Service (B.I.G.S.) is a fishing guide service for the John H. Kerr Reservoir, which lies on the NC/VA border. B.I.G.S. is owned and operated by Dewey Edwards of Clarksville, VA. Dewey is well known and respected in the Kerr Lake community. He has fished Kerr Lake (also known as Buggs Island) for over 30 years, and has lived on the lake for over 20 years. Dewey has been featured in both local and national sportsman publications, has served as a board member of the Buggs Island striper club, a three-time winner of the striper club tournament, was an official guide for the striper hot line, and has fished NSBA.
B.I.G.S. specialty is catching striper bass & crappie year round.
B.I.G.S. utilizes a 22-foot center console, with all the latest technology aboard. Lowrance depth finder with side & down scans, a Minnkoto trolling motor, live well system, Penn cannon down riggers. We are fully customized with rod racks and LED lighting.
