About Combs Bait & Tackle

  |  Amityville, NY, US | Views (5489)

Combs Bait and Tackle has been here since the early 1940's. Billy used to ride his bike here and would always dream of not only owning a bait and tackle shop but of owning this one.
In 1989, Bill and his wife Denise bought their dream.
Not only has Bill lived and fished locally all his life but is also a licensed captain who ran charter for 13 years running many charters including the 62' Hatteras "El Cid" out of Freeport. He has fished offshore, inshore, fresh water and salt and is more than happy to share all of his knowledge with you.
Combs Bait and Tackle is a family run business. At any time you may find Bill or Denise running the store with help from their "kids" Ben or Keith or daughters Victoria or Chrissy.
Doing business the old fashioned way-
Where a handshake is the only receipt you need.

Hello Fellow Anglers The weekend looks like a total blowout with harsh NE winds. However once the blow is over you can look forward to some fine action. Offshore fluking is getting better day by day. Hempstead Reef is very good with loads of shorts...
