A great trip with Sabrina and Eric and this was Eric's birthday present to catch some Crystal River grouper. Well I didn't disappoint him and the team turned some really nice gags. Before 10am they secured a fine limit and we called it a day to beat the storms and heat. You both did awesome and happy birthday Eric.... Capt. Dan

A hot grouper bite for the Millennium Metals team from the East coast and they sure did well. The bait traps were loaded today and we had an awesome trip. Nothing to fancy just dropping live pin fish on some ledges and "wham" grouper on. The guys turned all their fish and six fine gags came on board. Great job and I thank you all... Capt. Dan

Well vacation's over and it's back to work time. I'm easing my way back into trips and today Dan Lauren and Big Fish Bob were up first. We had a good trip caught four really nice grouper and had a couple get the best of us. Dropping live baits on the ledges did the trick and we wrapped it up around noon. With the oppressive heat right now I'm just...

A great time in the Rocky Mountains with Becky and some great friends. We caught some really nice trout and saw some new beautiful country. We've been going out there now for 12 years and this trip we even did some more exploring. Some of the new streams paid off great and some not so much but they will definitely produce in the future when they h...

Cedar Key’s June Inshore Fishing Report The Speckled Trout have been a little tough this month. But you can find them on the grass flats and now as the waters are getting warmer more out front towards seahorse reef. As usual we’re using popping corks and a jig head with live […] The post The Weather’s Warm So You Have To Move Around When Filling T...

Hello everyone just wanted to check in and give a quick out West report. The trip so far has been excellent in both Wyoming and Idaho. We've caught cutthroat's brown trout rainbows and saw but didn't hook up chinook salmon and bull trout. We're using mostly dry flies and a few streamers. It is a hot one out here and the water on the Idaho side is...

A fun one today as I wrapped up my tarpon season and I was able to put my brother Jeff on his first tarpon. Jeff and I Don't get to spend to much time together and he's been asking me forever to experience a tarpon fight. Well today was his day and he did great. He made a perfect presentation and soon enough launched one in the air. He had about a...

Another successful day with the tarpon and Jim and I had our good friend Chris from down South join us for the day. We set up again and patiently waited for the fish to come through. Soon enough we had a little window of activity and we were in fish. Chris was up and he did a terrific job feeding a whopper of a tarpon. He hooked up and about 40 mi...

Jim and I found some happy tarpon today and we were blessed to bring one boatside. The fish were migrating through as we waited off a point and the DOA baitbuster got us the bite. Lead the fish by a couple feet and a slow roll usually will get a hook up. They don't always stay connected but wen they do it sure is fun.... Capt. Dan

Jim and I got a super early start today and we had some luck on some river tarpon at daylight. Him and I found some rolling fish and we each jumped on on fly and spin tackle. That was short lived though as the sun came up and we soon enough ran back in the creeks for some snook action. The snook were biting well and we had a double digit day on gl...

A fun day with my buddy Jim as he's here for a few days and we're doing a little bit of everything. For today's adventure we found some fun size tarpon in some back creeks and were able to seal the deal on one. In my opinion other than the few permit we have here small tarpon are a tough tough game. This guy fell for a DOA bait buster and we had a...

Today was day three of our three day Homosassa Tarpon trip and unfortunately the weather just wasn't letting us make it happen. We tried to get to the flats but soon as me made it out there we were taking waves over the bow. I had Tom along for this trip and I said lets get back in the woods to save the day and catch a few. Well we did just that a...

The Short team was with me today and we pretty much did the same routine as yesterdays trip. I did push put a little bit deeper and we did well in that range too. The floating grass is awful so if your planning a trip it's a bait fishing game right now. I thank you both and I'll see you next time... Capt. Dan

A good grouper trip down South with Nancy and Bob and the husband and wife team did well. We stayed pretty shallow and fished the 8ft to 12ft range. Live pin fish was the bait of choice and fishing the clear water was fun. I thank you both as always and great job... Capt. Dan

Another good day on the shallow gags with Jim on board and grouper turned out to be our plan B. We had hoped in finding a tarpon but the stiff SE wind didn't allow us to make it happen. I made the run to a couple shallow rocks and ledges again and it worked out for us. Jim turned some real nice fish and secured and fine limit of Crystal River grou...
