Mt Martha Reef is primarily composed of rock, kelp, and seaweed with some sand. Towards the end of the season, Mt. Martha becomes particularly active. The period between late February and the end of March is the ideal time for fishing in this area. Whiting, Snapper, and Gummys are popular visitors.

A (70008) is a gas/oil platform built by Fieldwood Energy LLC and installed on 10/26/1996. The structure was removed on 05/17/2018 and verified as clear on 08/04/2018. Smaller pieces of the structure may still exist and provide habitat for fish, but the main structure no longer exist.
