Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
The weather has been variable this season with lots of rain. The start of the week, and more importantly, the start of muskie season, has seen a lot of cloud cover.
Fishing is very active; muskies are in weedy bays and being caught on Mepps and spinnerbaits. Smallmouth bass are still on the rocky shorelines and being caught on crank baits; run them 4 - 10 feet deep. Northern pike are in weedy bays in 4 - 6 feet of water; white and red spinner baits are working well. Walleyes are being found off rock points and on reefs in 15 - 22 feet; pink and yellow jigs are productive.
