Halibut and salmon fishing in Ketchikan, Alaska always delivers a real treat.  The fishing season runs throughout the summer starting in May and ending in September. 2017 is supposed to be another great year on the water. 

The months of May and June are the best time to search for the mighty King Salmon. King Salmon are one of the most prized fish in the world. The King gives anglers a great fight on the rod and rewards the sportsman with delicious meat.

From mid June though September, Ketchikan offers tremendous Silver Salmon fishing. Silver Salmon are feisty and action filled fish.

Pink Salmon peak in July and August. Pink Salmon come in plenty, meaning it is not uncommon to catch your limit of this desirable fish.

Halibut fishing in Ketchikan is pretty consistent throughout the summer, but hits its stride in July and August. Just the other day, Svenson Sportfishing took home a couple halibut of great size.
