Guntersville has a healthy population of big crappie and they are biting. Most of my clients are taking home 20-30 crappie per day. Bridges,brushpiles and bluffs are the deal right now. The fish are in 10-15 feet and feeding aggressively. We are tight lining Bobby garland type baits in monkey milk and blue ice colors on a 1/16th oz jighead with 4lb line and a 7ft light action rod with a 1000 series reel. The best feeding windows are the first 3 hours of the morning and the last 3 hours of daylight in the afternoon.
