Well, so far May has been off to a bipolar start. The first week of the month was a grind with a lot of wind and we had to work hard for every fish we caught. However, this second week of May has been exactly what may should be with low winds, clear skies, hot temperatures, and even hotter fishing. There have been plenty of permit around, bonefishing has been on fire this past week, and conditions couldn't be any more perfect. Most of what I've been booked for this month so far has been bonefish and permit and while we've done a little bit of snook fishing that has proven to be a challenge with not many snook around. However, for species easier to catch there have been plenty of ladyfish eating whatever we have thrown at them, and they are a blast with their big jumps and fast runs. I expect the rest of May to provide excellent fishing and great weather just make sure to bring plenty to drink because it's been hot!
