It was kind of a weird day today - overcast and breezy and the water was chopped up and muddy but itwas comfortable for the most part with the sun blocked. I had met Glenn and Patti Langford down at Sawpit Creek boat ramp and we made quick run up the Nassau to make our first stop at Spanish Drop where we went with jig rods and mud minnows tossed...

There's something genuinely special about a summer morning on Long Island Sound. The air is warm the harbor is coming alive and by the time you clear Port Jefferson and the open water opens up ahead of you whatever was on your mind when you left the house has already started to fade. There are many recipe's in the book and when I reached an easy one I decided to ma...

A new 5 fish lake record over 30lbs was weighed in during the ABT. Second was 23 and third was 21. Neely Henry is fishing extremely well as evidenced by these weights. 3 multi million dollar boat ramps have been installed and a strategic stocking program has revived this historic fishery. In the 70s and 80s Neely Henry was famous for big bass but...

We have been doing some JUMBO fluke fishing recently with outings from 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. Fish have been out there biting but admittedly we’ve had to work at it. Our guests have frequently gone home with fluke but it’s been maybe 1 or 2 fish per person rather than some of […] The post Fishing Report Mid-June – The Fluke Are Jumbo appeared...

We started at the blackfin hole and there were plenty of fish busting but they were eating little tiny minnows and were really tough to get a...
