Hooking Up Anglers Since 2011.
Fished Saturday. Had a hard time finding the break. Went out to 230 Rocks and went toward Diamond Shoals Tower. Had a hard time finding any break, but ran into scattered grass in 68 degree water in about 140' of water about a mile from Diamond Tower and caught a couple of false albacore. Worked the area and had a few bites that I also suspect were false albacore, but they just stole the ballyhoo. We ran out close to 280 rocks before coming back in and finding a nice 70 to 68 degree break with a decent grass line. Worked it for 5 miles or so before giving up. Very slow day.
Word on the docks was the fleet only caught false albacore on the troll but a nice 35# snowy grouper, golden tilefish, gray triggerfish, red snapper, and black seabass were found on the bottom.
