Our Access and Lake Waconia in general are pretty wet again. After the overnight rain and mild temperatures we are not allowing permanent fish houses on through our access. ATVs and Side by sides will be allowed for now.  We will let you know when things firm up enough to be able to go out with more than just machines.

Fishing over the weekend was pretty good for most anglers. Numerous 20-inch plus Walleye were caught and Northern Pike were C/R on a couple of the in-close reefs—the majority of the action involved under-slot Walleye and Perch. We are in the process of pulling out the remaining permanent house customers this week. We have established […] The post...

Fishing was definitely slower today. We never found the same sign of wahoo as yesterday. We still had a few nice shots at some quality Yellowtail and Yellowfin Tuna. We will be traveling tomorrow. TEAM RP

I landed this nice size largemouth bass today while jigging.  With all these cold temperatures the ice is thickening all across southern New England.  I got out in the last couple of days and found safe ice in northern RI and nearby MA. The ice seems to be running 3 to 6 inches thick with higher amounts the further north you explore. Today I got o...

It's cold the bass are lethargic it's time to slow down. WRONG!!! The bass are preparing for the spawn by eating as much as possible to try to survive a stressful spring. OFFSHORE- Sailfish action picked up a bit this week from Palm Beach to Jupiter Inlet. No huge release numbers; but most boats putting the time in have at least been seeing a few fish. If you’ve followed Knox Robinson’s writing for any period of time you know — the guy gets after it on his yak and he makes a consistent effort to always find a new place to wet a line across the long list of lakes and waterways that comprise Central Florida’s expansive world famous bass fishery. That’s why his perspective is especially valuable in...
