MARATHON REEF sits in 115 feet of water and was placed in December 31 1982. The reef consist mainly of MARATHON'S VACA CUT BRIDGE SPANS made of concrete.   

The Carrum Artificial Reef, constructed in 1965, was the first documented artificial reef in Australia.
