Snake River A little wetter and colder over the past two weeks which has brought fishing conditions a wee bit closer to “normal conditions” for this time of winter.  Midges are the name of the game and begin to pop around noon each do and last until around 3pm (but can go past 4pm).  We are starting to see our first tiny brown stones of the year w...

Yesterday a fisherman in his wheelhouse went out for Perch and had some action but it was slow. We removed the ramps crossing the pressure ridge on the South Spider Road so we only have one access point to cross it on the Tullibee Road. We will keep that going over the weekend for wheelhouses […] The post February 25th 2026 first appeared on Lybac...

Another cold and sunny day greeted us up at Old Town Bait and Tackle this morning when I met Bob and William Blalock with plans to fish the last hour of an outgoing tide. We were right there in Eagans so we eased up the creek and found some docks to anchor up current and fish back into the pilings. It was a slow start but it was a good move. The...

Fishing around Tampa Bay has been very consistent this week, especially on the shallow grass flats and along mangrove shorelines during moving water. Redfish have been feeding early, with several quality fish coming tight to oyster bars and sand pockets on the outgoing tide. Snook action has also picked up around structure, particularly near pa...

It appears that everyone up and down the east coast had quite a snowstorm yesterday. Here we had a lot of wind cold and some snow.
