Today our access is open to walking only. After last night conditions firmed up enough to allow people to walk across most of the frozen slush on our frontage. It is not frozen enough for ATVs or other vehicles. We will let you know as soon as conditions allow that. We’ve had many people asking about conditions on the main lake. Avery was out on t...

The cold has finally set in! The giant crappie have been biting deep in 20 to 40ft of water on live minnows and plastic Crappie Magnets! Most of these deep crappie are white crappie but if you move shallower you’ll catch dozens of black crappie. The bass have started biting swimbaits and Alabama rigs! We’ve […] The post December Fishing Report app...

The temperature finally started to drop….what a relief! With the cool nights moving in the bass and crappie started moving shallower. We continued to catch crappie on live minnows and casting 1/16oz jigs to brushpiles in 8 to 15 ft of water. The bass began moving shallow and were primarily caught on plastic worms and […] The post October and Novem...

Due to extreme slush our access is closed today Monday 12/29/25 to ALL use while we wait for it to solidify. Bait shop is open for bait etc.  We are guessing we got around 5 inches of snow in the last 24 hours. Early on it was wet and heavy. The snow got lighter as the temp dropped and the wind cranked up.   Avery went out on his ATV to check ou...

While September is one of the hottest months of the year the bass and crappie continued to bite! BCGS served dozens of clients making memories along the way. The crappie stayed in 10 to 20ft of water….mostly caught on live minnows around isolated wood. The bass continued to school on the river channel ledges and […] The post September Fishing Repo...

This week was excellent weather and fishing but adjusting to the conditions was the key. I guided almost everyday and I saw these fish change their behavior as the water warmed. With the cooler water the bass were positioned lower in the water column but as the water warmed they moved vertically and by Saturday they were just under the surface of...

It's cold the bass are lethargic it's time to slow down. WRONG!!! The bass are preparing for the spawn by eating as much as possible to try to survive a stressful spring. Be aggressive, fish fast and look for feeding fish. December was by far my best month of the year and I fish fast and aggressively. I am constantly looking for a group of...

Fishing Report Month of December Lake Guntersville December on Guntersville can be difficult as it is the beginning of the cold weather and the fish are generally not very active; this December however was very good; the bass were on the move feeding even in the cold water. Catches were good with good numbers and... Read more » The post Fishing Re...

¡Bienvenidos, amigos! It’s your favorite salt-crusted captain, Pete, coming to you live from the docks. First off, a huge Happy Fishmas and Feliz Año Nuevo to all my fishing family out there. It’s January 2026, and while I know many of you are back home digging out of the snow or winterizing your rigs, let me tell ya—the o...

OFFSHORE- Reports have been a bit slow this week offshore. Despite the decent cold front sailfish action never really went off. The general consensus was most boats putting the kites up saw a fish or two with only a few boats getting more than 4 or 5 chances. A scattering of dolphin in 250-400' of water but no big numbers. The wahoo have shown up a...

Happy Saturday! After another cold night our access has improved enough to allow single-axle wheelhouses to be pulled behind ATVs or side-by-sides. We are still not allowing cars or trucks through our access while it continues to heal. We are also not recommending truck traffic through any access on the lake as ice thickness under the snow is comm...
